Dr. Andreas Georgi was born in Bremen on May 17, 1957. After training as a banker at Bremer Bank, a branch of Dresdner Bank AG, from 1977 to 1979, he initially studied industrial engineering at Darmstadt Technical University.

From 1983 to 1985, he worked as a research assistant in the Department of Finance and Tax Law at the TH Darmstadt and simultaneously earned his doctorate (summa cum laude) in this field.

In 1986, Georgi joined the Credit Department of Dresdner Bank AG, Hamburg. In 1987, he moved to the Credit/Risk Management Corporate Staff at the bank's head office in Frankfurt am Main, where he was responsible for Domestic Credit/Risks.

From 1988 to 1990 he worked as an assistant to Kurt Morgen, then a member of the Board of Management of Dresdner Bank. He then took over the management of the control systems department in the corporate staff organization for two and a half years.

In 1993 Georgi joined the bank Reuschel & Co., Munich, as a general manager; In 1994 he became its personally liable partner.

From January 1st, 2000, Georgi worked as a co-head of the private customer/investment advisory customer division of Dresdner Bank AG in Frankfurt am Main.

Effective May 1, 2000, he was appointed a full member of the Management Board and is responsible for the Private and Corporate Clients, Sales division.
